Let us take the first steps together, on your journey of self discovery
Welcome to my counselling practice. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or just not yourself. This may be due to an event or day to day life. Sometimes our thoughts can become overwhelming, leading to us functioning just enough to get through the day. Are you feeling stuck, lost or unable to cope? Maybe to the outside world you look content. Are you ready to open up and voice your real feelings in a safe, contained environment?

Counselling starts a journey of growth in self awareness and personal power enabling you to connect to the root of your issues. Together, we will explore at your pace, meaning you will lead us to work on what you feel is important. Growing your self-awareness, personal power and own resources will enable healing, acceptance and relief.

Counselling sessions

Cleethorpes office.
Counselling sessions take place face to face or online, lasting 60 minutes. My counselling room is based within Cleethorpes Business Centre. I also offer counselling sessions from Louth and further details can be discussed via intro call or email. At Cleethorpes there is plenty of parking and toilet facilities. Within reception there is a sofa for you to sit, while you wait. I will collect you from main reception and we will enter the room together. I will provide a bottle of water but please feel free to bring a hot drink along.
I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone appointment. Telephone appointments enable us to talk through the practical details of counselling, ask any questions and see if we feel we are a good fit for each other. There is no pressure to book an appointment. I have a flexible working schedule including early evenings and weekend appointments.
Choosing the right counsellor for you means you will get the best out of counselling. The initial appointment enables us to ask questions, go through the contract and get to know each other. A trusting, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my counselling practice. There is no pressure to plan what you want to work on each session, we can figure that out together.

Flexible Scheduling
I understand the importance of convenience in seeking counselling. Contact me to discuss flexible session times that suit your schedule, including evenings and weekends.
About me
I started my journey to become a counsellor by completing a level two in counselling skills. After achieving a first class degree in counselling skills, I have developed a person-centred way of working. I am now studying for a master's in contemporary relational studies. This is enabling me to move into relationship therapy. I have found this move personally and professional rewarding.
The move into systemic therapy means at times I am more directive than a person-centred counsellor and enables us to look at your relational patterns. I may offer techniques or interventions that may support our work. However, in my way of working, these are offered for you to decide if these would be helpful.

My aim is always to create a space where you are in control of you're own journey. This also highlights the importance of working at your own pace. The therapeutic relationship is an important factor of therapy outcomes. Therefore, I will regularly check in on our relationship with you. This might look like asking 'do you feel you got something out of today?'. Why: To ensure we are working well together and you feel like you are getting what you need from our time. What if you reply with no? Then this creates a space where working together we can adapt and change our way of working. The amount of sessions needed will be reviewed throughout our work together.

To ensure I work ethically I am Accredited Registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
