Let us take the first steps together, on your journey of self discovery

Welcome to my counselling practice. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed. This may be due to an event or day to day life. Sometimes our thoughts can become overwhelming, leading to us functioning just enough to get through the day. Are you feeling stuck, lost or unable to cope? Maybe to the outside world you look content but your ready to open up and voice your real feelings.

Counselling starts a journey of growth in self awareness and personal power enabling you to connect to the root of your issues. Together, we will explore at your pace, meaning you will lead us to work on what you feel is important. Growing your self-awareness, personal power and own resources will enable healing, acceptance and relief.

Counselling sessions

Counselling sessions take place face to face, lasting 60 minutes. My counselling room is based within Cleethorpes Business Centre. Meaning there is plenty of parking and toilet facilities. I will provide a bottle of water but please feel free to bring a hot drink along. I have a flexible working schedule including early evenings and weekend appointments.

Within reception there is a sofa for you to sit, while you wait. I will collect you from main reception and we will enter the room together. I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone appointment. Choosing the right counsellor for you means you will get the best out of counselling. This initial appointment enables us to ask questions and get to know each other. A trusting, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my counselling practice.

About me

I started my journey to become a counsellor by completing a level two in counselling skills. I now hold a BA Hons degree in counselling studies. I have developed a person-centred way of working as my base but do draw on other techniques. I am always learning and growing my way of working. However my aim is always to create a space where you are in control of you're own journey. This highlights the importance of working at your own pace as counselling is a personal journey. The amount of sessions needed will be reviewed throughout our work together. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in contemporary relationship studies. Enabling me to grow my skills and develop my counselling practice. To ensure I work ethically I am Accredited Registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I also seek regular supervision, have insurance and a current DBS.
